WHEELING — A Wheeling man is suing Khalil Z. Islamov and Fast Star Logistics LLC, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

David A. Millhouse filed a complaint Jan. 19 in Ohio Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that Islamov failed to maintain proper control of the tractor-trailer he was driving.

According to the complaint, Millhouse alleges that in Oct. 20, he was carefully and lawfully operating a motor vehicle on Interstate 470 when Islamov negligently caused his tractor-trailer crashed into the rear of Millhouse's vehicle. As a result, Millhouse suffered physical injuries and emotional anguish, incurred medical bills and lost wages. The plaintiff holds Islamov and his employer responsible because Islamov allegedly failed to maintain a proper lookout and failed to exercise due care in the operation of the vehicle.

Millhouse requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants jointly and severally for compensatory damages in an amount within the jurisdiction of this court to be determined by the jury, prejudgment/post-judgment interest and costs together with such other relief as this court deems proper. He is represented by Scott S. Blass of Bordas & Bordas PLLC in Wheeling.
