BECKLEY — A consulting firm is suing Cunningham Energy LLC, an oil and gas producer, citing alleged failure to pay for completed work.

Alliance Consulting Inc. filed a complaint in Raleigh Circuit Court against Cunningham Energy, alleging that the defendant failed to abide by the contract agreement.

According to the complaint, the defendant engaged with the plaintiff to perform professional engineering and consulting services with a contract agreement. But the plaintiff failed to receive the remaining balance for its services performed, amounting to $37,826,67, the complaint said. The plaintiff holds Cunningham Energy responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and refused to make payment on the remaining balance pursuant to the agreement and costs.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment amounting to $37,826.67 plus pre-judgment interest, costs, reasonable attorney fees and for other relief the court deems proper. They are represented by Daniel Yon of Bailes, Craig and Yon PLLC in Huntington.
