Motor vehicle passenger blames Canadian corporation for crash

Car accident 30

BECKLEY — A Fayette County man is suing a Canadian corporation, alleging its negligence caused a vehicle crash.

William R. Graham of Oak Hill filed a complaint March 13 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Diversco Systems Inc. of Ontario, alleging the corporation's employee failed to maintain proper control of the truck he was driving.

According to the complaint, on March 16, 2015, Graham was a passenger in a motor vehicle traveling on state Route 19 in Raleigh County when Diversco's Kenworth truck, being driven by the defendant's employee, violently crashed into the rear of the vehicle in which the plaintiff was riding.

The suit says Graham has suffered significant and severe injuries that have resulted in medical expenses, pain and suffering and mental anguish. The plaintiff alleges Diversco Systems's employee negligently operated the vehicle while distracted and followed the plaintiff's vehicle too closely.

Graham seeks trial by jury, compensatory and general damages, interest, attorney fees, court costs and disbursements, plus all other relief. He is represented by attorney Christopher D. Lefler of Lefler Law Office in Beckley.
