Medical malpractice 01

CHARLESTON — A Raleigh County man is suing a Beckley nursing home facility operator, alleging negligence led to the death of his wife.

Kenneth Tressler, as personal representative of the estate of Alisha Tressler filed a complaint March 24 in Kanawha Circuit Court against Sunbridge Beckley Health Care LLC, doing business as Pine Lodge and Genesis Healthcare LLC, alleging failure to provide the decedent with her nursing home resident's rights.

According to the complaint, on March 31, 2016, Alisha Tressler became a patient at Pine Lodge. During her residency, the suit says, she suffered injuries resulting in pain and suffering and mental anguish, which contributed to her death Aug. 27, 2016.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to provide an environment free from abuse, neglect, mistreatment and accident hazards and failed to provide adequate health care and protective support services.

Kenneth Tressler seeks trial by jury, all damages, attorney fees and court costs as well as other proper relief. He is represented by attorneys Jeff D. Stewart, Andrew L. Paternostro and Shayla M. Rigsby of The Bell Law Firm PLLC in Charleston.
