PINEVILLE — A Brenton man is suing General Motors, alleging breach of implied and express warranties.

John Morgan filed a complaint March 28 in Wyoming Circuit Court against General Motors LLC, alleging failure to comply with the New Motor Vehicles Warranties Act.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 16, 2014, Morgan purchased a new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado from Crossroads Chevrolet LLC in Mt Hope for $47,834.64. Within the warranty period, the suit says, Morgan experienced non-conformities with the Silverado.

The lawsuit states these non-conformities substantially impaired the vehicle's use, value and safety. The plaintiff alleges General Motors has failed to make repairs in a good and workmanlike manner so as to conform the vehicle with the applicable warranties.

Morgan seeks trial by jury, refund of the purchase price, general and consequential damages, attorney fees and court costs. He is represented by attorney Timothy P. Lipardus of Lipardus Law Office in Pineville.
