Putnam County property owner alleges tenants failed to pay rent

WINFIELD — A Putnam County property owner is suing tenants, alleging breach of contract for failure to pay rent.

Hauppauge Properties, LLC filed a complaint in Putnam Circuit Court against Hager Ventures LLC, doing business as Sears Hometown, Mark Hager and all unknown tenants, alleging they violated the terms of the lease agreement.

According to the complaint, on March 11, 2015, Hauppauge Properties entered in a lease agreement with the defendants and was personally guaranteed by Mark Hager. The suit says Hauppauge has failed to receive payment for rent that started April 1, 2011, with a maturity date of April 1, 2020. The plaintiff alleges the defendants have failed to pay rent as prescribed under the terms of the lease agreement.

Hauppauge Properties seeks trial by jury, judgment for possession of the property and amount due of $50,713.57, plus interest and any further proper relief. It is represented by attorney Michael J. Bell of The Law Office of Michael J. Bell PLLC in Scott Depot.
