Wheeling motorist blames trucking business, driver for crash

Car accident 24

WHEELING — A Wheeling woman is suing a Pittsburgh trucking business and a driver, alleging their negligence led to a vehicle crash that injured the plaintiff.

Rebecca Suter filed a complaint April 6 in Ohio Circuit Court against Pitt Ohio Express LLC and Roney Creech, alleging Creech failed to exercise due care for the safety of others.

According to the complaint, on April 8, 2015, Creech negligently operated Pitt's box truck and caused a violent collision with Suter's motor vehicle on Main Street in Wheeling. The suit says Suter sustained injuries that are permanent and lasting in nature and that she has suffered physical and mental pain, medical expenses and loss of earning capacity.

The plaintiff alleges Creech improperly backed the box truck against the flow of traffic on a one-way street and failed to maintain proper control of the vehicle.

Suter seeks trial by jury, compensatory and punitive damages, pre- and post-judgment interest and all other just and proper relief. She is represented by attorney C. Christopher Hood of Hood Law Offices in Wheeling.
