BECKLEY — A registered nurse is suing health care providers, alleging tortious interference in employment opportunities.

Leann D. Spangler filed a complaint April 6 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Appalachian Regional Healthcare Inc., Rocco K. Massey and Dr, Nayan Zinzuwadia, alleging they wrongfully interfered with the plaintiff's contractual relationship.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 29, 2016, Spangler was terminated from her employment and, due to defendants' interference with her contractual relationships, she has been denied two potential employment opportunities.

As a result, the suit says, Spangler has suffered economic loss and emotional injury. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed and refused to provide additional information needed to complete Spangler's credentialing.

Spangler seeks trial by jury, all damages, attorney fees, court costs and other appropriate relief. She is represented by attorney Walt Auvil of The Employment Law Center PLLC in Parkersburg.
