GLENVILLE — Working interest owners are suing a Pittsburgh oil and gas well operator, alleging breach of joint venture agreement.
CGB Inc., Berwind Group Oil & Gas LP and Berwind Oil & Gas LLC filed a complaint April 3 in Gilmer Circuit Court against EQT Production Company, alleging failure to provide any explanation for the continued loss of their joint venture involving wells.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs suffered monetary damages for paying additional gathering, transportation and working interest fees and for not obtaining any income from their share of the production of the wells. The plaintiffs allege EQT Production failed to improve, modify and/or expand the pipeline's gathering and transportation system, and increased fees without notice.
The plaintiffs seek trial by jury, compensatory and punitive damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney fees and expenses, and all other just relief. They are represented by attorney Arie M. Spitz of Dinsmore & Shohl LLP in Charleston.
