Land services providers allege oil exploration company owes nearly $85,000

RIPLEY — Land service providers are suing an oil exploration company, alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

Honor Resources Company and Darryl H. Griwatz filed a complaint April 20 in Jackson Circuit Court against Drilco Oil & Gas Corporation,alleging it willfully violated the West Virginia Code.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs undertook a variety of professional land services on behalf of Drilco. As of April 20, the suit says, the outstanding balance of $84,932.62 remains due and unpaid. 

The plaintiffs allege Drilco Oil & Gas, despite repeated reassurances, has failed and refused to make payment for the outstanding balance.

Honor Resources Company and Griwatz seek trial by jury, judgment for $84,932.62, plus accruing interest, court costs and all other just and proper relief. They are represented by attorneys Matthew S. Casto and Katrina N. Bowers of Babst Calland PC in Charleston.
