Kanawha County resident accuses clerk's office of fraud

CHARLESTON — A Kanawha County man is suing the county clerks office, alleging fraud and violation of civil rights.

Michael Ellis filed a complaint March 16 in Kanawha Circuit Court against the Kanawha County Circuit Clerks Office, alleging the office allowed its employee to modify the plaintiff's lawsuit complaint page without authority.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 9, Ellis was damaged from having his complaint altered without his permission as the clerks office interfered with the plaintiff's legal document.

Ellis seeks compliance training for all clerks about the agency's policies and actions, and monetary compensation,. He is representing himself.
