MARTINSBURG — A customer has filed a class action lawsuit against a consumer reporting agency, alleging inaccurate reporting.
Robert Mills II, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, filed a complaint April 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia Martinsburg Division against Infomart Inc., alleging willfull violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
According to the complaint, as a result of Informart's actions, Mills suffered suffered actual damages. The plaintiff alleges Infomart wrongfully reported a criminal record for Mills that belongs to another person and failed to reveal the source of information.
Mills seeks trial by jury, actual, statutory and punitive damages, plus interest, attorney fees and court costs and all other equitable relief. He is represented by attorneys John W.
