Vehicle owner blames State Farm for contract breach

HUNTINGTON — A Roane County vehicle owner is suing another driver and State Farm Insurance, alleging negligence and breach of contract.

Angela Atwood filed a complaint April 21, in Cabell Circuit Court against Janet White and State Farm Mutual Automobile, alleging White negligently breached her duty to operate her vehicle inn a safe and careful manner.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 10, Atwood's Kia was damaged due to a collision caused by White's vehicle, which was inured by State Farm. The plaintiff alleges State Farm has refused to pay Atwood's claim against White's policy insurance.

Atwood seeks trial by jury, damages, attorney fees and court costs and all other just and proper relief. She is represented by attorneys Thomas P. Boggs and Kenneth R. Banon of Duffield, Lovejoy, Stemple & Boggs PLLC in Huntington.
