Motorist blames production company, driver for crash injuries

GLENVILLE — A Upshur County motorist is suing a production company and an employee, alleging their negligence caused injuries to the plaintiff in a traffic accident.

Connie Marie Thompson filed a complaint on May 5, in the Gilmer Circuit Court against EQT Production Company and Daniel Loudin, alleging EQT negligently entrusted its truck to a careless driver.

According to the complaint, on May 6, 2015, Thompson sustained serious and permanent injuries when her vehicle was run into by an EQT truck driven by Loudin in Gilmer County.

The suit says the crash has resulted in pain and suffering, lost wages medical expenses and diminution of enjoyment of life for Thompson. 

The plaintiff alleged Loudin failed to keep his vehicle in the proper lane of travel and failed to maintain a careful lookout.

Thompson seeks trial by jury, all damages, interest, court costs, expenses and attorney fees and all other just and proper relief. She is represented by attorneys Sara E. Zeigler and Adam S. McPherson of Kaufman & McPherson PLLC in Bridgeport.
