Preston County man blames Wal-Mart for injuries

KINGWOOD — A Preston County customer is suing Wal-Mart, alleging the store's negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.

Jonathan David Mann of Masontown filed a complaint May 11 in Preston Circuit Court against Wal-Mart Store Inc. alleging failure the premises in a reasonably safe conditions.

According to the complaint, on May 21, 2015, Mann was the Wal-Mart store in Kingwood. The suit says Mann sustained serious injuries when he fell due to a wet floor. 

The suit says Mann sustained pain and suffering, medical expenses and loss of income. The plaintiff alleges Wal-Mart failed to provide sufficient warning that the floor was wet and slippery.

Mann seeks trial by jury, compensatory and general damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, court costs and attorney fees and all other just and proper relief. He is represented by attorney Edmund J. Rollo of Morgantown.
