FAYETTEVILLE — A Fayetteville couple, both armed forces veterans, filed a complaint against a loan servicer and holder, alleging misrepresentation and unconscionable conduct.

Amanda Hanson and Nicholas Hanson filed a complaint June 5 in Fayette Circuit Court against Amerihome Mortgage Company LLC and John Doe, alleging they violated the West Virginia Code.

According to the complaint, the Hansons have suffered economic loss, worry, stress annoyance and fear of losing their Fayetteville home because the defendants failed to timely evaluate and to consider the plaintiffs' request for appropriate loss mitigation assistance.

The Hansons seek trial by jury, actual damages, attorney fees, costs and such other just and equitable relief. They are represented by attorneys Colten Fleu and Loree Atark of Mountain State Justice Inc. in Charleston.
