Man says Weirton didn't pay him for accrued sick days

NEW CUMBERLAND — A former employee is suing City of Weirton Board of Parks for alleged breach of contract.

Kevin Elias filed a complaint June 6 in Hancock Circuit Court alleging that the defendant failed to pay him fair wages.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered damages from not being paid for his work. The plaintiff holds the plaintiff responsible for allegedly failing and refusing to pay him for 120 accrued sick days.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks the amount of $14,338.15 plus interest, all damages and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Daniel L. McCune of Sellitti, Nogay & McCune PLLC in Weirton.
