Golden Ridge Saloon accused of taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries

Car accident 33

MOUNDSVILLE — A motorist is suing Ryan Hubbard, Johnni Hubbard and Golden Ridge Saloon LLC for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Maggie Kaylor filed a complaint on June 7 in the Marshall County Circuit Court, alleging that Golden Ridge illegally sold and served an alcoholic beverage to a visible intoxicated person.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she sustained severe and disabling injuries on March 18, 2017 when her vehicle was struck by the vehicle being operated by defendant Ryan Hubbard and owned by Johnni Hubbard.

The plaintiff allegedly suffered physical and emotional injuries, medical expenses and lost wages, and she holds the defendants responsible for the actions of Ryan Hubbard, who allegedly disregarded the safety of the motoring public by driving under the influence and by failing to maintain proper control of the vehicle he was driving.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and punitive damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney's fees and costs and such other just and proper relief. She is represented by Gregory A. Gellner of Gellner Law Offices in Wheeling.
