Three file suit against Hillside Trucking, driver after Grafton collision

Car accident 39

GRAFTON – Three Taylor County residents have filed suit against a Preston County business and individual after a rear-end collision near Grafton.

Jonathan Keller, individually and as parent and next friend of minor Brayden Keller, and Madison Green filed a complaint on June 22 in the Taylor Circuit Court against Hillside Trucking Inc. and Philip Barlow alleging negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, Green was driving on Route 119 with her stepfather Jonathan Keller in the front passenger seat and her stepbrother Brayden Keller in the back seat and had slowed to turn into their driveway. The suit states that Barlow, who was operating a dump truck while working for Hillside, rear-ended the plaintiffs' vehicle, causing all to sustain serious injuries.

The plaintiff holds Hillside Trucking Inc. and Barlow responsible because Barlow failed to operate his vehicle in a safe manner.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Dino S. Colombo and Jon R. Godwin of Colombo Law in Morgantown.
