BECKLEY — A bank is suing JP Morgan Chase, alleging breach of loan agreement.
Bank of Mount Hope Inc. filed a complaint June 28 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Warren G. Davis and JP Morgan Chase Bank NA, alleging Chase failed to surrender the title of a 2011 Ford to the plaintiff but instead, delivered the title to Davis.
According to the complaint, on May 16, 2016, Davis borrowed $19,922.65 from the Bank of Mount Hope to pay his debt, including $11,002.26, to Chase for the release of its lien on the 2011 Ford vehicle. As a result of the defendants' actions, the suit says, the Bank of Mount Hope has been damaged financially.
The plaintiff holds alleges defendant Davis refused to deliver the title to the bank and has defaulted in the payment of the loan.
Bank of Mount Hope seeks trial by jury, judgment, jointly and severally, for $19,142.57, plus interest, attorney fees, costs of court and all other appropriate relief. It is represented by attorney Erwin L. Conrad of Fayetteville.
