Kroger shopper claims liquid on floor caused fall

CHARLESTON – A Parkersburg man alleges he was injured while shopping at a Kroger store.

Shane Neal filed a complaint on July 7 in Kanawha Circuit Court against Kroger Limited Partnership I alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 1, 2017, he was at defendant's Kroger store in Parkersburg when he sustained serious bodily injuries when he slipped on a liquid substance on the floor. He claims suffered serious bodily injury.

The plaintiff holds Kroger Limited Partnership I responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain the premises in a reasonablely safe condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, pre-and post-judgment interest, attorney's fees, costs and such other and further relief. He is represented by Paul M. Stroeble of Stroebel & Johnson PLLC in Charleston.
