WILLIAMSON – A Red Jacket resident alleges a Mingo County building and remodeling contractor failed to complete a job.
Tommy Prater Sr. filed a complaint July 24 in Mingo Circuit Court against Jody Gooslin, doing business as Gooslin Construction, alleging that the remodeling contractor failed to honor its contractual obligations.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff owns an office building in Williamson that was damaged by a runaway pickup truck in February. The suit states he contracted the defendant to repair the storefront and paid half of the $10,000 agreed upon for the repairs. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant failed to complete the job and has failed to refund the $4,000 he had requested.
The plaintiff seeks the refund of $4,000. He is representing himself. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Miki Thompson.
