CHARLESTON – A sporting goods store patron alleges he was injured because the store failed to provide a safe and secure environment for its patrons.
William Whiting filed a complaint on July 13 in the Kanawha Circuit Court against Dick's Sporting Goods Inc. and John Doe alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 13, he was shopping at the defendants' South Charleston store for an inversion table. He alleges he was injured while visiting the store.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants to fairly compensate the plaintiff for his injuries and damages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Robert B. Warner and Christopher Schumacher of Warner Law Offices PLLC in Charleston. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge James C. Stucky.
