Walsh Transport alleged to have defaulted on loans

LOGAN – A financial institution alleges a Logan County business owes more than $300,000.

BMO Harris Bank NA filed a complaint Aug. 9 in Logan Circuit Court against Walsh Transport LLC and Eddie Walsh alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Walsh Transport entered into a loan and security agreement with the plaintiff for $283,294.08 in March 2016 and also for $104,021.74 in July 2016. The plaintiff alleges the defendant has defaulted on the loans.

The plaintiff holds Walsh Transport LLC and Eddie Walsh responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to make monthly payments to the plaintiff causing their loan to default.

The plaintiff seeks the amount of $309,378.58, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Stephen L. Thompson of Barth & Thompson in Charleston. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Joshua Butcher.
