CHARLESTON – West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice has appointed Debra McLaughlin to serve as the Circuit Court Judge for the 23rd Judicial Circuit.
McLaughlin will fill the vacancy created by the June death of John Yoder.
McLaughlin lives in Berkeley Springs, and she has practiced law in West Virginia since 1999. McLaughlin served as the Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Morgan County from 1999-2002. Since 2002, she has been Morgan County’s Prosecuting Attorney.
The 23rd Judicial Circuit includes Morgan, Berkeley and Jefferson counties in the Eastern Panhandle.
