CHARLESTON – A woman alleges an uneven sidewalk at the Shops at Kanawha caused her to fall.
Karen Ciampanella filed a complaint July 31 in Kanawha Circuit Court against Shops at Kanawha LLC alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 12, she was walking on the sidewalk of defendant's property when she tripped and fell on an uneven sidewalk.
She alleges sustained serious and permanent injuries and suffered pain and suffering, disability, inconvenience and other economic and noneconomic damages.
The plaintiff holds Shops at Kanawha LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed repair the dangerous condition and failed to warn.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant of more than $75,000 and such other relief that are just under the circumstances. She is represented by Robert B. Warner and Christopher Schumacher of Warner Law Offices PLLC in Charleston. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge James C. Stucky.
