American Express seeks more than $40,000 from Kanawha County man

CHARLESTON – A Kanawha County man is alleged to have defaulted on a credit card account.

American Express Bank FSB filed a complaint Aug. 3 in Kanawha Circuit Court against Bret B. Nida, formerly doing business as The Jedi Group LLC alleging that the consumer failed to fulfill his contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff issued the defendant a credit card and that he has failed to pay for $40,032.01 in purchases. 

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant in the amount of $40,032.01, plus filing fee of $200 and service fee of $25. It is represented by James B. Atkins, Paul S. Atkins and Bree Whipp Ogle of Atkins & Ogle Law Offices LC in Buffalo.
