LOGAN – A pedestrian alleges that a sidewalk in a state of disrepair in Man caused her injuries.

Stephanie L. Ryan filed a complaint Aug. 22 in Logan Circuit Court against the town of Man and Susan Mills alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 28, 2015, she sustained personal injuries when she tripped and fell on the public sidewalk on or near the property of defendant Mills in Man.

The plaintiff holds the town of Man and Mills responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently maintained the public sidewalk in a state of disrepair.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of $100,000, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of the action and such other and further relief. She is represented by Herbert L. Hively II in Charleston. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Joshua Butcher.
