Motorist seeks damages after collision involving dump truck in Leon

POINT PLEASANT – A Jackson County motorist alleges she was injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Leon.

Kayla Nicole Boyd filed a complaint Aug. 23 in Mason Circuit Court against Farmers Friend Inc., doing business as Epling Trucking, and Loren Charles Price alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 24, 2016, she was traveling on state Route 2 in Leon when Price struck a pickup truck that struck the plaintiff. She alleges she sustained severe injuries to her body 

The plaintiff holds Farmers Friend Inc. and Price responsible because defendant Price allegedly failed to maintain control of the commercial truck he was operating.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and punitive damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney's fees, costs and expenses and such other just and appropriate relief. She is represented by Robert D. Cline, Robert A. Campbell and Jennifer D. Roush of Farmer, Cline & Campbell PLLC in Charleston. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Richard Craig Tatterson.
