Patient files malpractice suit against Logan doctor over alleged injuries

LOGAN – A man alleges he was injured after a surgery at Logan Regional Medical Center.

Travis C. Reed filed a complaint  Aug. 28 in Logan Circuit Court against James C. Paugh II, D.O. alleging medical malpractice.

According to the complaint, the defendant performed inguinal hernia repair surgery on the plaintiff on May 28, 2015. He alleges he was injured because of post-operative complications after the procedure.

 The plaintiff holds Paugh responsible because the defendant allegedly breached the standard of care.

The plaintiff seeks compensatory damages, medical expenses, all legal fees, interest and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Timothy P. Lupardus of Lupardus Law Office in Pineville. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Joshua Butcher.
