Hardiman Contracting alleged to have failed to do work as contracted

Contract 09

HUNTINGTON – A Huntington couple alleges that their home is in a state of disrepair because a contractor failed to properly do work as contracted.

David Sneade and Sheri Sneade filed a complaint Sept. 2 in Cabell Circuit Court against Stephen Ray LLC, doing business as Hardiman Contracting; James Hardiman II, individually; and Goodman Manufacturing Co. LP alleging breach of contract, unjust enrichment and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Feb. 14, David Sneade and Sheri Sneade contracted Hardiman Contracting to renovate their home and that Hardiman purchased an A/C unit from Goodman to install. The plaintiffs allege that they made full and complete payments but Hardiman Contracting failed to properly perform the work.

The plaintiffs holds Stephen Ray LLC, doing business as Hardiman Contracting; Hardiman II, individually; and Goodman Manufacturing Co. LP responsible because Hardiman Contracting allegedly failed to seal the deck to prevent leaking, failed to properly construct a roof over the deck, failed to properly install the Goodman heat pump and other issues.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek compensatory damages, punitive damages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by David K.
