Passenger seeks damages after I-70 collision with Mister P Express driver

Semi crash 07

WHEELING – A passenger allegedly injured after a tractor-trailer struck the vehicle she was traveling in on Interstate 70 is seeking damages from the driver and his employer.

Robin Valeus filed a complaint Sept. 12 in Ohio Circuit Court against Mister P Express Inc. and Seydou Talla alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 24, 2015, Talla rear-ended a vehicle in which plaintiff was a passenger with a tractor-trailer owned by Mister P Express on Interstate 70. She alleges she sustained severe injuries, great pain, emotional distress, post-traumatic stress syndrome, aggravation of depression and medical and surgical care as a result of the accident.

The plaintiff holds Mister P Express Inc. and Talla responsible because Talla traveled at an excessive rate of speed in an accident zone, failed to yield to the right of way and for following too closely.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for compensatory damages, interest, costs and other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Quan S. Le and Don A. Yannerella in Wheeling. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge David J. Sims.
