WINFIELD – A Putnam County business alleges that it was not paid in full for its services by a Mason County funeral home.

Kanawha Valley Advertising Co. filed a complaint Sept. 13 in Putnam Circuit Court against Crow-Hussell Funeral Home Inc. alleging that the client failed to fulfill its contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 27, 2016, it entered into a contract with defendant and agreed to post a poster displaying defendant's goods and services on a billboard. After allowing credits for all payments made by defendant, the principal balance of $1,900 allegedly remains due and unpaid.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in the amount of $1,900, together with interest, attorney's fees and costs of this action and such other just and proper relief. It is represented by Christopher J. Winton and Mark W. Kelley of Ray, Winton, & Kelley PLLC in Charleston. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Joseph Reeder.
