WAYNE – A Huntington man alleges he was injured while working on a job in Kenova when the equipment he was using broke.
Joey D. Blankenship filed a complaint Sept. 21 in Wayne Circuit Court against C.E. Adkins & Son Inc. and Braskem America Inc. alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff was employed by C.E. Adkins & Son and was contracted by Braskem for painting at a facility in Kenova. He alleges that on Sept. 28, 2015, he fell about 4 feet when the side rail of the platform broke, causing injuries to his shoulder and head.
The plaintiff holds C.E. Adkins & Son, Inc. Braskem America, Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide safe and working equipment to their employees.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount determined by the court, interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Paula L. Harbour of Paula L. Harbour in Huntington. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge James H. Young Jr.
