Hastings LLC alleges it was given incorrect deed

WHEELING – A limited liability company is seeking the corrected version of a deed so that it can sell a property.

Hastings LLC filed a complaint Sept. 22 in Ohio Circuit Court against Caliber Real Estate Services LLC and U.S. Bank Trust NA alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the defendants conveyed a deed to the plaintiff for a property in Wheeling in September 2016. The suit states the deed issued to it was incorrect and that the defendants have failed to provide a corrective deed.

The plaintiff seeks issue an order containing the proper legal description so that the plaintiff may complete the sale of the house to a third party, damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Paul J. Harris in Wheeling. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge David J. Sims.
