Injured cyclist seeks damages from driver, Nationwide after Princeton collision

Insurance 08

PRINCETON – A cyclist is seeking damages from his insurer and a motorist after a collision in Princeton.

William C. Streit and Holly Streit filed a complaint Sept. 21 in Mercer Circuit Court against Rebecca Nichols, Carol S. Nichols and Nationwide Insurance Co. of America

According to the complaint, on Oct. 11, 2015, William Streit was riding his bicycle on or near Courthouse Road when defendant Rebecca Nichols caused her Honda automobile to collide with his bicycle. He alleges he sustained substantial property damage and injuries to his neck, chest, back, spine and other parts of his body and has suffered pain and suffering, medical expenses, loss of earnings and physical impairment.

The plaintiffs allege they submitted a claim to Nationwide, but that the insurance company has failed to timely respond to set up a claim.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendants in an amount that will fairly compensate their damages and losses, with interest, attorney's fees, costs and such other just and proper relief. They are represented by Anthony R. Veneri of Veneri Law Offices in Princeton. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge William J. Sadler.
