Motorist seeks damages from Mister 'P' Express, driver after I-70 accident

Car accident 08

WHEELING – A Wheeling woman is seeking damages after a collision on Interstate 70.

Jardine Lauriston filed a complaint Sept. 21 in Ohio Circuit Court against Mister "P" Express Inc. and Seydou Talla alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 24, 2015, she was traveling on Interstate 70 and was injured when the motor vehicle she was operating was struck from behind by a vehicle owned by defendant Mister "P" and operated by Talla. The suit states the impact caused her vehicle to collide with a tractor-trailer in front of her. As a result, she alleges she sustained injuries and damages resulting in pain and suffering, mental anguish, lost wages and medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds Mister "P" Express Inc. and Talla responsible because defendant Talla allegedly followed her vehicle too closely and failed to maintain the vehicle under proper control.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants, jointly and severally, for compensatory damages, together with attorney's fees and costs. She is represented by Christopher N. Turak and Teena Y. Miller of Gold, Khourey & Turak LC in Moundsville. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge James P. Mazzone.
