Driver seeks damages after collision with Meigs Mine Service employee

Car accident 03

WHEELING – A Wellsburg woman is seeking damages from a company after a collision with one of its employees in Wheeling.

Ann M. Deneen filed a complaint Oct. 17 in Ohio Circuit Court against Meigs Mine Service LLC and John Doe alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 19, 2015, she sustained physical injuries when her car collided with a 2014 Ford truck operated by Doe, an employee of Meigs Mine Service. The suit states the plaintiff was stopped at the Washington Avenue exit in Wheeling when the collision occurred.

The plaintiff holds Meigs Mine Service LLC and John Doe responsible because Doe allegedly failed to maintain the vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court for compensatory damages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Steven M. Recht of Recht Law Offices in Weirton. The case has been assigned to Ronald E. Wilson.
