Former Alleghany Medical Services employee files sexual harassment suit

Wrongful term 06

BECKLEY – A Beckley woman alleges she was subjected to sexual harassment during her employment at a Raleigh County medical facility.

K.D. filed a complaint Nov. 9 in Raleigh Circuit Court against J. Jorge A. Gordinho MD, Responsible Pain & Aesthetic Management PLLC and Alleghany Medical Services PC alleging that they violated the West Virginia Human Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was in a relationship with Gordinho twice before and during her employment with the defendants, and Gordinho was her supervisor. She alleges she ended the relationship in 2013 and was subjected to sexual harassment and hostile work environment by Gordinho afterward. The suit states she and other staff members were terminated shortly afterward a raid on the offices by state and/or federal staff on Nov. 12, 2015.

The plaintiff holds Gordinho, Responsible Pain & Aesthetic Management PLLC and Alleghany Medical Services PC responsible because she alleges she has suffered lost wages and benefits as a result of the defendants' actions.

The plaintiff seeks compensatory and punitive damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney's fees, cost and such other just and proper relief. She is represented by Amanda J. Davis and James D.
