Mount Hope resident alleges city-owned tree damaged home

FAYETTEVILLE – A Mount Hope homeowner alleges her residence was damaged by a tree owned by the city.

Lisha Woodson filed a complaint Nov. 15 in Fayette Circuit Court against the city of Mount Hope alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept 1, her home was damaged by a tree owned, controlled and maintained by the defendant. As a result, she alleges her home is unsafe.

The plaintiff holds the city of Mount Hope responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly maintain its trees.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant in an amount based on evidence. She is represented by Greg A. Hewitt of Hewitt & Salvatore PLLC in Fayetteville. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Paul M. Blake Jr.
