MOUNDSVILLE – Two residents of Proctor allege the construction and operation of a compressor site near their property has caused a diminution in property value and damages.

Victor W. Woods Jr. and Jessica L. Woods filed a complaint in Marshall Circuit Court against Williams Ohio Valley Midstream LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the defendant operates a compressor site that is close to the plaintiffs' property. The plaintiffs allege the defendant's site has caused fumes, dust, dirt, noise and bright light to be present at their property during the day and night. They also allege the smell of fumes and odors has made it unbearable for them to be outside.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek compensatory, general and punitive damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney's fees, costs and such other just and proper relief. They are represented by James G. Bordas Jr. and Jeremy McGraw of Bordas & Bordas PLLC in Wheeling. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Jeffrey Cramer.
