WILLIAMSON – An estate representative has filed a wrongful death suit against the operator of a Williamson nursing home.

Molly Cline, as personal representative of the estate of Patsy J. Cline, filed a complaint in Mingo Circuit Court against Trinity Health Care Services of Mingo Inc. alleging negligence, wrongful death and other counts.

According to the complaint, Patsy Cline was admitted to the defendant's facility on June 4, 2016. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant failed to provide supervision to Patsy Cline and as a result she developed pressure-related skin injuries, acute kidney injury from dehydration and a urinary tract infection. The suit states Patsy Cline died Aug. 31, 2016.

The plaintiff holds Trinity Health Care Services of Mingo Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide appropriate and adequate health care and protective support services.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages as allowed by law, attorney's fees, costs and all other items that the court sees fit to award. She is represented by Jeff D. Stewart and Andrew L. Paternostro of Stewart Bell PLLC in Charleston. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Miki J. Thompson.
