MOUNDSVILLE – Two Buckhannon individuals allege a distracted ambulance driver caused a crash in Buckhannon that injured them.
Charlotte Henline and Glenda Riffle filed a complaint on Dec. 26, 2017, in Marshall Circuit Court against Emergency Site Protection LLC and Betty Louann Harding alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on April 25, 2017, Charlotte Henline and Glenda Riffle were passengers in an ambulance driven by defendant Harding, who was employed by defendant Emergency South Protection. The suit states while traveling on Brushy Fork Road in Buckhannon, Harding lost control of the ambulance and caused it to crash. The plaintiffs allege Harding was texting or was otherwise distracted, which caused her to run off the road.
The plaintiffs allege they suffered severe and permanent injuries, medical expenses, lost wages, emotional distress and/or disfigurement as a result of the crash.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek compensatory and punitive damages, costs, expenses and fees for this action, pre- and post-judgment interest and such other just and proper relief.
