Highway Legends LLC, driver seeking damages from Trademark Freight over I-70 accident

WHEELING – An insurance company and a Wisconsin trucking company are seeking damages after a tractor-trailer collision in Wheeling County.

Great West Casualty Co., as subrogee of Highway Legends LLC and Todd J. Hacker, and Highway Legends LLC and Todd Hacker filed a complaint in Ohio Circuit Court against Trademark Freight LLC and Roberto Dominguez alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 12, 2016, Trademark employee Dominguez struck a tractor-trailer owned by Highway and driven by Hacker on Interstate 70 in Ohio County. The suit states Dominguez was driving too fast for the conditions and was driving on a suspended and/or revoked license at the time of the collision.

The plaintiffs hold Trademark Freight LLC and Dominguez responsible because the plaintiffs allegedly suffered monetary damages as a result of the crash.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages and court costs. They are represented by Timothy A. Montgomery and Jordan C. Hettrich of Pion, Nerone, Girman, Winslow & Smith PC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Jason Cuomo.
