Driver alleges Ohio man failed to control church-owned vehicle in Wheeling collision

Car accident 41

WHEELING – An Ohio County man is seeking damages from an Ohio church and resident after a rear-end collision in Wheeling.

Lloyd P. Adams II filed a complaint Jan. 3 in Ohio Circuit Court against Brian T. Hamilton and Transformed Life Church alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in Jan. 8, 2016, he was injured when his vehicle was struck from behind by another vehicle driven by defendant Hamilton and owned by defendant Transformed Church while stopped on National Road in Wheeling. He alleges he sustained injuries to his body and mind and incurred medical expenses as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Hamilton and Transformed Life Church responsible because defendant Hamilton allegedly failed to yield to the right of way and failed to maintain control of the vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for damages of less than $75,000. He is represented by Gail W. Kahle of The Law Office of Gail W. Kahle in Wheeling. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge David J. Sims.
