NEW MARTINSVILLE – A Pleasants County couple alleges the home they purchased has been damaged because of negligent construction.

Thomas R. Likens and Lori Likens filed a complaint Jan. 22 in Wetzel Circuit Court against Skyline Corp. and AAA Mobile Homes Inc. of New Martinsville alleging negligent design and negligent construction and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs' purchased a home manufactured by Skyline in April 2010 from AAA Mobile Homes and the home was delivered and set up by AAA at the plaintiffs' Friendly property. They allege Skyline negligently built and designed the home and AAA negligently delivered and set it up, causing damage.

The plaintiffs hold Skyline Corp. and AAA Mobile Homes Inc. of New Martinsville responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to exercise ordinary care in the selection of materials and failed to construct the home in compliance with building codes.
