NEW MARTINSVILLE – A consumer claims the vehicle he purchased at a Wetzel County business is defective.
Raymond Jackson filed a complaint Jan. 22 in Wetzel Circuit Court against Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. alleging that the motor vehicle dealer failed to comply with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 8, 2016, he purchased a 2016 Ranger 520C from the defendant for $72,086. Shortly after taking possession of the Ranger, he alleges he experienced issues with a defective engine.
The plaintiff holds Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to repair the defect after multiple attempts, causing the plaintiff financial damage.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks award for diminution of value of the Ranger, cost of repair and other incidental and consequential damages, attorney's fees, costs and such other just and appropriate relief. He is represented by Michael S. Bailey of Bailey Legal Services PLLC in Barboursville. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Jeffrey Cramer.
