MOUNDSVILLE – A Washington, Pennsylvania, construction company alleges that a Charleston company failed to pay it for work on a project.
Chapman Corp. filed a complaint Feb. 2 in Marshall Circuit Court against Rover Pipeline LLC citing mechanics' lien foreclosure.
According to the complaint, the parties entered into a contract in September 2016 for the plaintiff to construct the defendant's natural gas compressor station. To date, the principal amount of $5,704,809 allegedly remains due and owing.
The plaintiff holds Rover Pipeline LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide the complete designs, drawings and specifications in a timely manner, failed provide certain raw materials as required under the contract and failed pay the amounts duly owed.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in the amount of $5,704,809, pre- and post-judgment interest, and such other just and proper relief. He is represented by Ross A. Giorgianni of Blumling & Gusky LLP in Pittsburgh. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge David W. Hummel Jr.
