Medical malpractice 06

HUNTINGTON – A widow has filed suit against several health care providers after her husband died during a tooth extraction.

Linda Mount, individually and as administratrix of the estate of William Richard Mount, deceased filed a complaint in Cabell Circuit Court against River Cities Anesthesia, Raj K. Khanna, et al. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 16, 2015, William Mount underwent a surgical extraction of a tooth performed by Khanna with anesthesia provided by River Cities Anesthesia. The suit states William Mount died during the procedure at the age of 69.

The plaintiff holds River Cities Anesthesia, Khanna, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently and improperly administered general anesthesia on a medically unstable patient.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for all damages, prejudgment and post-judgment interest, costs and attorney fees. She is represented by William M. Mundy of Mundy & Associates in Huntington. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Paul T. Farrell.
