CHARLESTON – Kanawha Circuit Judge Charles E. King has granted a restraining order against Frontier Communications employees who are currently on strike.

The temporary restraining order was granted on March 19, after the injunction was filed on March 15 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

There are approximately 1,400 Frontier employees across the state that have been on strike since March 4—after union leaders and Frontier could not reach a contract agreement.

Frontier filed the injunction asking the court to force them to leave company property during their strike.

Frontier claimed the striking employees have embarked down a “dangerous and lawless road” throughout the county and the state and that there have been threats of violence and actually violence against employees and contractors.

Kanawha Circuit Court case number: 18-C-362
